The project, entitled Teacher's Info-Port to Technology (TIPT), is the result of the collaboration among the Colleges of Education, Arts & Sciences, University College, and the Toledo Public Schools. There are three major goals of TIPT: 1) to revise all University of Toledo College of Education
undergraduate curriculum to include technology-rich teaching methods
that meet Ohio, NCATE, and therefore ISTE standards; 2) to develop systems to assure that graduates of the University of Toledo College of Education will use technology in their classrooms; and 3) to develop systems to assure faculty in the UT College of Education and Arts & Sciences will use technology in the classroom as both a model for students and as a method of instruction. TIPT is designed to address the need to ensure that our future teachers are technology-wise and can use the multimedia facilities available in today's schools. |
